The #1 piece of advice I hear from students who are taking an online class it to plan enough time in your schedule to devote to studying and completing your assignments for that class. It is easy to procrastinate and forget about online course assignments.

Tip for Online Students: If you have a problem, SPEAK UP! Many of the non-verbal communication mechanisms that instructors use in determining whether students are having problems (confusion, frustration, boredom, absence, etc.) are not possible in online courses. If you are experiencing difficulty on any level (either with the technology or with the course content), communicate this immediately to your instructor. Otherwise the instructor will never know what is wrong.
